Labour’s ‘nappy curriculum’ to be reviewed

Perhaps this sort of state interference will decrease as its cost – and dubious benefits – becomes clearer. Such a curriculum could be voluntary, with parents choosing what is best for their own children.

    “EYFS covers all pre-school children – whether they attend nurseries, playgroups or are cared for by childminders”

    Er, and those that are cared for by their parents? This blindly assumes that all pre-schoolers attend some form of care.

    It’s a nonsense that children this young should be ‘learning’ and being judged.
